The Playoff Stage in CoderZ League is the final chapter of your regional competition. You should consider this as an achievement to have reached this milestone, but let's talk about how the Playoff stage works:
Structure
The 32 teams that made it to the Playoffs will each play a single match with a single opponent in the first round. All winning teams will move on to what we call the “Top 16” round, in which all 16 teams will once again play a single match with a single opponent.
This process of elimination will continue until only one team remains. The remaining team will be crowned the Regional Champion and move on to the World Finals to play with all other regional champions.
Knockouts
Teams will play opposite each other in a series of knockout matches, meaning a game loss will result in losing the competition and not moving on to the next round of the Playoff stage.
Even if your team doesn't become Regional Champion, you will still have full access to the platform until the competition is over after the World Finals.
How to Play
To play, teachers must assign one participant as the Team Captain. The role of the Team Captain is to create the team's final version of code and submit it by pressing the Submit Code icon in the Simulation Pane. Please note that the submitted code will be used in all matches of the Playoff stage.
Note that teams may submit code multiple times, but only the latest (most recent) code will be used in the games. Other than submitting the codes, the process is fully automatic. All you have to do is watch the games once they become available!
